IT WON'T HAPPEN TO ME (AIDS)
Directed toward teenagers and young adults, this video is an intimate, moving interview with a young mother who is HIV positive. Her preschool daughter is also positive, but her husband, the child's father is not. She tells of the great anguish she feels at being responsible for her daughter's condition because of having had unsafe sex as a teen. Most poignant of all is her feeling that the death of her daughter and herself will be meaningless unless their tragedy serves to convince others to change their behaviors. (1991, 13 Min.)

IT WON'T HAPPEN TO ME (ALCOHOL)
Many teens fool themselves when it comes to drinking alcohol. For a problem drinker like Martin, getting help required suspension from school and the prospect of jail. Forced to attend teen support group meetings, Martin begins to understand that alcohol is a drug, that no drug is "safe," and that he can no longer deny his drug problem. The program demonstrates how the "it won't happen to me" attitude frequently leads to addiction, and can block the way to recovery. (1988, 31 Min.)
